Peter Kandinov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan and came to USA at the age of 16. While studying in high school he developed love for a financial literacy and learning how to make $ while you sleep. His financial career took off after school and due to his hard work and passion to learn something new every day he quickly rose from being a teller to Assistant Vice president at BNP Paribas at the age of 25. While working on his financial career he also managed to win multiple State, 2 National and finally a World JR powerlifting championship in 1998. During financial crisis of 2008 he made a decision to leave financial world and pursue his career in Law enforcement following footsteps of his uncle (who was a high-ranking officer in MVD of Azerbaijan). He became a police officer in 2011 but his passion for financial literacy remained. In 2020 he created Financial Club for NYPD and introduced financial literacy classes to the department and since then was able to provide support and education to thousands of civilian and uniform members of NYPD through his classes and through financial club that he created for the department. He is currently assigned to departments Health and Wellness unit as a financial wellness coordinator. In addition, Peter also holds Series 6 and 63 licenses and is a registered representative with PFS Investments Inc. and recently joined forces with Lyudmila Mierova from All about Kindness to provide education on financial literacy and Drug awareness to our community. One of his favorite quotes is “What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
